The Color Purple, is an awesome book. I loved it from beginning to end. It was a real page turner. When I first seen that we going to read it I couldnt wait to get past al the other books and get to this one. I still think I like the movie better but I wish they would have incorporated more of the important things in the book in the movie.
Cecily character touched me the most she gave me hope. Even though she was going through a lot she found strength. It made me feel like I complain over little stuff and look what this person is going through. I know that I can do anything. Whoopi played that part extremely well.
The only questions I would have for the writer would be: Did she enjoy writing the book? How did she feel when she didnt win any of those awards? How has the book impacted her life? What made you pick Whoopi for the part or did you participate in the casting? Who would you recommend the book to?
